SUNDAYS

Sunday Service

Our Sunday gathering is when we come together as church family to celebrate the good news that Jesus is alive and that through Him our sins are forgiven.

We love to worship, spend time in God’s Word, and encourage one another in faith. At the heart of our gatherings is welcoming the presence of the Holy Spirit as we pray for one another and seek fresh power to live for God.

Our Sunday services include groups for our children and young people aged 0–14, creating a place where they can belong, grow, and encounter God together.

Our Sunday gatherings are a key part of our life together as a church. Whether you are exploring faith, looking for a church family, or just visiting the area, we would love to welcome you.

PRAYER

Bringing our hearts to God

God invites His people to seek him, and at LCC we believe prayer is a vital part of everything we do. Together, we pray for His Kingdom to come and His purposes to be fulfilled in our church, our town, and beyond.

We believe it's God's desire for His church to be a House of Prayer for all nations. We pray because we believe God answers prayer.

Together, we petition God to move powerfully in our church, our community and in the lives of those around us.

Everyone is welcome to join us as we seek His presence, pray together, and believe for all He wants to do.

  • We start the year with a Week of Prayer

  • We gather once a year for 24 Hours of Prayer

  • We pray on Sundays, before and during our service

  • We pray together on a Monday evening once a month at 7.30pm

  • We pray together on the first Tuesday of each month at our Prayer & Worship Night

  • We invite the church family to fast on a Wednesday morning and join us in praying for Revival

  • We pray in our LIFE Groups & Running Partners

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer

SERVE

We are One Body

At LCC there’s a place for everyone to serve in our church family. Whether it’s on a Sunday morning or during the week, in big ways and small, sometimes seen and many times unseen. We'd love for you to get involved and play your part, using the gifts God has given you to build up the church and reach those who don't yet know Jesus.

Sunday Serving

We'd love everyone who is part of the LCC church family to join in, use their gifts and serve on a Sunday team.

Most teams serve on a rota, with dates shared in advance so you can plan ahead. If you’d like to find out more, speak to one of the Team Leaders, the Office Staff or Elders.

Serving our Community

Two ways we love people to serve our community are through our CAP Debt Centre and Conversational English. Follow the links to find out more, or get in touch with the teams to find out how you can get involved.

LIFE GROUPS

Sharing life together

We believe the church is called to be a family, and one of the ways this is lived out at LCC is through our LIFE Groups.

LIFE Groups are part of the heartbeat of LCC. They're where we gather to share life together, seek God, encourage one another, and spur each other on as we follow Jesus and share His good news.

Our LIFE Groups meet in different areas of Lowestoft throughout the week. They’re a place to build friendships, share meals together, study the Bible, pray, and talk about who Jesus is and all that He has done for us.

RUNNING PARTNERS

Run the race together

We believe this race was not meant to be run alone - The bible encourages us to “run with endurance the race that lies before us” Hebrews 12:1

At LCC we encourage everyone to find Running Partners – two or three others to journey with as we follow Jesus together.

In Running Partners, we encourage one another to pray, read the Bible and share honestly about our lives together. We believe that as we do this regularly, we are strengthened, encouraged, and sharpened by one another through a healthy blend of support, accountability and challenge.

18 - 30s COMMUNITY

Find your place

We know that for many 18–30-year-olds, life involves some big changes—moving away from home, studying, starting new jobs, and exploring what you really believe about life and faith. Alongside these changes come unique challenges and opportunities.

We’re passionate about discipling students and young adults, helping them navigate these seasons of life, equipping them for the journey ahead, and helping Lowestoft Community Church feel like home.

If you’re a student, graduate, or young adult, we’d love to welcome you to our next 18–30s gathering. Come along, get connected, and find out more about how you can be part of our community.

Explore the big questions of life

Alpha is a series of videos exploring questions about life and the Christian faith in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Running over approximately 8 weeks, come and join an open conversation, where all thoughts are welcome no matter your beliefs or background.

How does it work?

1

Connect over food

Our course always begins with sharing food together, giving you the chance to connect with those on your table.

2

Watch an episode

Each 25-minute episode is designed to provoke thought and discussion around a big question - like Who is Jesus? or How can we have faith?

3

Share your thoughts

Discuss the topic in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything, and nothing you can't ask - just an honest, friendly and open conversation.
